Sarah is one of our Senior Spinal Consultants working with complex conditions such as scoliosis and hyper-kyphosis. “We believe every spine is different, every story matters, and you deserve a journey crafted for your needs"
"After years of chasing relief, I finally have a plan that works long-term. Walking is easier now and I even took my first holiday in years.”
“I used to think bracing was just for kids; my custom corset helped me regain posture and reduced my daily pain.”
“Dorsi’s team mapped every detail and found answers no one else did. My pain and sleep both improved and I’m more confident in my future. My friends all want a corset too, especially after they saw how discreet it was under my clothes."
Our unique approach combines regular hi-tech assessments with a triple therapy method proven to improve spinal curvatures
Before the appointment, every shred of past medical data is analysed. History, imaging, and consultant notes shape a roadmap designed for answers, not delays.
The consultation itself is relaxed, empathetic and stress-free. We aim to understand what is going on how the problems are impacting your quality of life and consider your goals as part of our therapeutic recommendations
Every assessment begins with our proprietary analysis tool, the Fleming Functional Score. Unlike standard checklists, this multi-dimensional functional score interrogates flexibility, balance, symmetry and functional ability. This means we uncover hidden factor undermining progress, giving our team a true 360° view of each persons spine and risk of deterioration in the future.
We deploy three gold standards: LiDAR 3D imaging, super low-dose X-ray, and surface electromyography. This means your true structure and muscle tension are mapped safely and precisely.
We are the first clinic in the UK to have invested in the state of the art LiDAR scanning system. It uses lasers and true depth cameras to create a three-dimensional model of your spine. Whilst it does not replace x-ray in the diagnosis of scoliosis. It can be used for regular monitoring, potentially reducing the total radiation dose during treatment by up to 50%.
Our digital x-ray facility is the only one of its kind in private practice set up specifically for scoliosis. We perform our x-rays backwards to reduce radiation dose to the vital organs and are trained in very unique imaging and diagnostic evaluation to get the whole picture. We will investigate any degenerative change and use measurements that when combined with your functional score will allow us to design a programme to restore your spinal alignment with an aim to slow or halt the degenerative process.
All diagnostic data are run through a scientifically validated algorithm (Lonstein & Carlson method), prescribing the exact therapy needed at the right time:
Manual therapy using mirror-image correction (targeted, research-driven hands-on therapy). The initial stage is to reduce your symptoms and improve your spinal mobility. This is often where other therapies stop: Once you start to feel better The Dorsi Method shifts its focus to maintaining these improvements. If your programme includes a functional rehabilitation recommendation you would progress onto our SpineGym programme.
SpineGym functional rehab: Our exclusive exercise system which is a hybrid of scoliosis specific exercises such as Schroth and SEAS, blended with moves from yoga, martial arts and more for real posture transformation. For more complex cases you may be prescribed a custom corset which you would wear to stabilise your spine. It would be like performing your SpineGym exercises for hours every day!!
The ScoliBrace, Custom corrective corset, has been rigorously tested and built to gently move the spine toward straightness, whilst specifically protecting, offloading and decompressing the tissues in your spine that are causing irritation and leading to degenerative changes.
The ScoliBrace uses mirror-image 3D correction principles to shift the spine into the opposite of the curve pattern. They are completely bespoke to you, designed from your 3D scans, x-rays and clinical findings.
Whilst not all patients require a corset. Those that do are experiencing life changing improvements. We are now seeing more adults for corsets than children and have attracted a Government backed WMHTIA grant. If you are eligible, you may qualify for a 50% discount on the cost of your corset.
Every programme is debated and sequenced by up to six spine specialists with over 100 years’ experience. Our team comes from many different backgrounds and professions; No one-size-fits-all, only bespoke, measured care.
The process is continually monitored; the Fleming Functional Score, LiDAR, and X-rays are repeated at intervals, allowing early intervention when needed. This ensures true progress. We can catch any sign of regression immediately and take advantage of corrective changes along the patient journey.
The ScoliBrace is a truly custom, advanced 3D scoliosis brace designed to deliver lasting pain relief, improved posture and enhanced quality of life. Helping each patient experience real and visible lasting change.
Reduces daily pain and discomfort; supporting a more active lifestyle.
Improves posture and spinal stability, helping prevent further curve progression.
Provides targeted support for degenerative changes, minimizing risk of mobility loss.
Enhances balance and confidence, making daily activities easier and safer.

Lucy came to us with a 38° thoracic curve. With early intervention and consistent brace use supported by ScoliBalance therapy, her curve improved to under 30°. She avoided the surgical path that her consultant had initially anticipated.
Tom was embarrassed to wear a brace at school. We worked closely with his parents and teachers, ensuring his brace fit invisibly under his uniform. His posture improved dramatically within six months. He’s now one of our most enthusiastic success stories.
After a delayed referral, Ella’s curve reached 45°. Her parents reached out after reading our eBook. Within weeks of starting with us, she had her brace fitted and began ScoliBalance sessions. Six months later, her curve measured 34° and her pain had significantly reduced.
When we say we specialise, we mean scoliosis and degenerative spinal conditions isn’t one of many conditions we treat; it’s what we do.
Every team member is specifically trained to work with patients who have spinal curves with or without degeneration. That focus means better assessments, faster decisions, and more effective outcomes.
We don’t just manage symptoms. We work to improve your spinal health.

Yes, many adults achieve significant pain reduction, improved posture, and increased mobility through specialist-guided corsets, targeted exercise, and corrective therapy.
Our approach is focused on stabilising posture, reducing pain and improving daily function, often avoiding the need for surgical intervention.
The unique therapeutic intervention prescribed to each patient is formulated from our diagnostic protocols and considers the limitations on your quality of life and your goals. The decision is ultimately yours as to whether you proceed with some or all of our recommendations, and they can be introduced in steps to build your trust and allow your body to adapt to each therapy.
Standard physiotherapy and general pain management may help short-term symptoms but are rarely scoliosis-specific. The Dorsi Method approaches adult scoliosis with specialist assessments, 3D custom corsets, and tailored SpineGym rehabilitation; all designed specifically to address curve progression and spinal imbalance; targeting the root cause, not just the symptoms.
Modern bracing is now designed to help adults with degenerative or progressive scoliosis.
ScoliBrace supports spinal alignment, reduces pain, and can improve confidence and daily activity. The designers consider which tissues are irritated, then offload and decompress your spine, providing relief and reducing the irritation and inflammation that leads to degenerative change.
Many adult patients experience significant relief and better posture with a properly designed corset. In-fact our adult corset service is so fast growing that it is due to overtake our children's practice next year.
THIS MONTH ONLY: Your first full consultation, assessment, and 3D scan is just £179. But spaces are limited and only available if booked online.
If a corset is recommended, we offer flexible payment options, with many people choosing to spread the cost monthly with a 0% interest plan. Depending on the terms that you choose, the average cost is £99-129 per month.
** If you meet the criteria you may be eligible for a 50% discount on the cost of a 3D Corset provided by a government backed WMHTIA grant.
Your Corset prescription is individualised.
Many adults use corsets part-time, for specific activities or periods of daily movement. The goal is to support and retrain, not restrict. Your plan will be tailored to your lifestyle, comfort, and goals.
Helping you get maximum benefit with practical wear. It is usually paired with daily gentle SpineGym exercises to re-write your muscle memory and postural blueprint.
This is EXACTLY what our corsets are for!!
Our protocols are built for complex, overlapping spinal conditions common in adults. Every plan considers arthritis, nerve compression and degenerative changes to maximise your safety, comfort and results, coordinating care as required with other specialists.
While every case is unique, many adults notice improved comfort and movement within weeks of starting a tailored programme. Significant improvements in pain, balance, and function are typically seen over three to six months, with continued progress as your plan adapts over time.
The initial 'active therapy phase' is usualy six to nine months, in which time you will usually start with treatment to improve your symptoms and improve spinal mobility; which prepares you to start your functional rehab programme with simple and gentle SpineGym exercises.
If a corset is prescribed we would only 3D scan your spine once it is flexible enough to benefit from the gentle corrective forces of the corset. The Right Care At The Right Time Is Critical. You usually wear the corset for a six month therapy phase; after which it acts like a retainer and can be used part-time, for specific activities or periods of the day. The goal is to support and retrain, not restrict. Your plan will be tailored to your lifestyle, comfort, and goals.
